Due to the pandemic, we have had to put measures in place to ensure that we minimise risk and take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and our customers. This has involved putting in a series of new measures and working practices.
We will be observing the 2 metre distance rule at all times, and respectfully ask you and your guest to do the same.
Our Toilets will be closed
We have identified the customer toilet as an area which is a high risk area and we simply will not be able to sanitise this between every single customer use. On that basis the customer toilet will be closed during your appointment. Please therefore ensure that you have visited a toilet before your appointment (please note that exceptions will be made for medical need).
Please bring only one adult guest to your bridal try on appointment.
This guest must be someone from your household, who will be able to help you into the dresses you wish to try. If this is not possible, we will ask you to dress yourself as your consultant will not be permitted to enter the changing room with you. Please note that we aren’t able to accommodate children, even in prams or pushchairs at this time.
Please note that unfortunately the appointment will not be able to proceed with more than 1 guest.
By attending your appointment you are confirming that on the day of attendance you and your guest, to the best of your knowledge
- Are symptom free and not currently in isolation due to another member of their household having Covid19 symptoms
- Have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the last 14 days
- Are not awaiting the outcome of a Covid-19 test
- Have been following current government guidelines in relation to social distancing in the last 14 days
- Are not in a quarantine period having arrived in the UK in the last 14 days
- Agree to wear face coverings for the appointment
- That your one guest will be someone with whom you have been isolating
- Confirm that neither you nor your guest have received a letter confirming that you should be in the shielding category of vulnerable people
No guests can be bought to your 1st fitting and alteration appointment.
In order to carry out your fittings, our bridal seamstress will have to work close to you and at times, at a distance of less than 2 metres. For this reason, we will be asking you to continually wear a face covering during your appointment. Our seamstress will also be wearing both a face mask and a visor.
You must not talk to her when she is working less than 2 metres from you. If you need to signal to her to discuss something, wave your hand and she will step back to a safe distance of 2 metres to enable you to have a conversation.
Arriving for your appointment
It’s worth nothing that we have had to lose our lovely waiting area, to minimise exposure to other people. We will therefore have a locked door policy while our appointments are going on. We will only be opening our door when an appointment is due to start to avoid any cross over with other customers. So please arrive on-time as you’ll have to wait outside until it’s time for you to start your appointment.
Pre-select your dresses
In order to comply with government guidelines and to prevent the spread of the virus, we will be steam cleaning each dress after a customer has touched it and tried it on. This means that we cannot allow our customers to browse our rails and touch all the dresses that they do not intend to try on (as we would have to spend hours cleaning every single dress afterwards). This means that prior to your appointment, we will be asking you to email us 4 dresses from our website that you absolutely cannot wait to try on. These will be ready for you when you arrive for your appointment.
Your appointment will begin with you trying on these 4 dresses. Once we have seen what you are liking and not liking about these dresses, and how they fit your body, we will then suggest other dresses for you to try. Don’t worry! You will have the opportunity to try on more than 4 dresses during your appointment. But we will be selecting these additional dresses from the rails for you to limit the number of dresses handled during an appointment.
All our prices are clearly shown on the website so you can check that the dresses you love are in budget before you select them. Rest assured, we offer a price match for all bridal orders so you can be sure you won’t be paying over the odds for your gown, and we only ask for a 50% deposit at the time of ordering your wedding dress. Mother of the bride dresses is payment in full as these are off the peg.
We look forward to celebrating with you when you find ‘The One’ with us!
If you are travelling to us by car, it’s worth noting that we have parking round the back of the shop, accessed by either the small alleyway next to the photographers or via Hannington Road.
